Kinsale Farms is a private breeding facility dedicated to the rare Irish Draught and the top performance Irish Draught Sport Horse. We strive to produce both fantastic competition horses as well as life long companions. These qualities, and much more, are easily found in the purebred Irish Draught horse and the Irish Draught Sport Horse.
Specifically, when it comes to the purebred Irish Draught, we strive to produce traditional, true-to-type foals to further this wonderful foundation breed. We combine both the top competition bloodlines with outcross lines to produce wonderful athletes while helping to maintain the diversity of the breed. Irish Draughts are known for their outstanding jumping ability, amateur friendly temperament, intelligence, and light springy gaits, among other qualities. Our Irish Draught Sport Horses are spectacular competition prospects with tons of speed and athletic ability passed down from the Thoroughbred, while still retaining great bone, substance, and the willing temperamant of the Irish Draught. The Irish Draught Sport Horse is known for being a top competition horse, with many such as Custom Made and Cruising competing internationally. However, because they are so "user-friendly," they are also a great choice for the amateur owner.

This exceptional stallion has inherited excellent conformation and temperament from his Irish born RID parents. Currently, he is the only approved stallion out of the great late foundation mare Bonnie Belle Supreme, and is one of only two purebred stallions by the highly successful performance and breeding stallion O'Leary's Irish Diamond. "Angus" enjoyed early success in the show ring as a youngster, including receiving the 2006 Cotter Cup for the best purebred youngstock at the 2006 Irish Draught Horse Society (NA) (IDHS) national show. Now working under saddle, Angus continues to bring home blue ribbons and championships as he begins his career in dressage. Visit his page to learn more about this young stallion.
